How much time do you spend on your product?

 

25%, 50%, 75% or 100% of your time?  If you are spending more than 25% of your time working with your product or service, most likely, you are not advancing in your business.

Why less than 25%?

If you spend more than 25%, where do you find the time to spend on other areas like legalities, structuring how you run your business, marketing and finance management? How much time are you putting towards planning for the future?

Bottom line

Are you working *IN* your business or *ON* your business? 

Try this exercise

Write down what percentage (approximately) you spend on the following towards your business:

product

legal

systems

communication (internal and external)

finance management

future business planning

Note: most of the time, your percentages should increase as you go down the list.
